Introduction

Hello, tech enthusiasts! Get ready to dive into the latest chapter of my exhilarating adventure in the Google Summer of Code (GSoC) program, alongside the incredible LibreHealth organization. Together, we are revolutionizing healthcare through the Mobile Helping Babies Survive (mHBS) project. Let's take a sneak peek into my weekly progress and witness the magic unfold:

My Progress This Week

  1. Implemented Notification Screen UI:

    • I successfully implemented the Notification Screen user interface, which provides care providers with a centralized hub to manage notifications efficiently. You can check out the merge request and review the changes made in the following link: Notification Screen MR.
  2. Started Implementing the Add/Update Baby Details Screen:

  • As part of enhancing the functionality of the NeoRoo module, I began working on implementing the Add/Update Baby Details screen. This feature will enable care providers to input and manage crucial information related to newborns effectively.

My Plans for Next Week

For the upcoming week, I have outlined the following tasks to further advance the project:

  1. Complete the Add/Update Baby Details Screen:

    • I aim to finalize the implementation of the Add/Update Baby Details screen, ensuring a seamless user experience for care providers when updating essential information about newborns.
  2. Implement Temperature Screens:

    • Temperature monitoring is a critical aspect of newborn care. I plan to start working on implementing Temperature Screens, which will assist care providers in accurately tracking and managing infant temperatures.
  3. Specify Training Videos for Care Providers:

    • I will review the collection of training videos available at Global Health Media and carefully select the most relevant and informative videos to be recommended specifically to care providers. These videos will contribute to their professional development and enhance their knowledge of handling small babies effectively.

Conclusion

That wraps up my weekly progress report for GSoC on the LibreHealth organization's mHBS project. I successfully implemented the Notification Screen UI, began working on the Add/Update Baby Details screen, and have exciting plans for the upcoming week, including the implementation of Temperature Screens and selecting training videos for care providers. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this meaningful project and look forward to the next week's challenges and achievements.
